Who should attend the SafeStart Forum?

Anyone looking for a unique, highly interactive conference and networking experience should attend the SafeStart Forum. It is the place for leaders, safety staff, trainers, and steering committees to exchange ideas and discuss human factors in safety with like-minded professionals.

Do I need to be a SafeStart client to attend?

The short answer? No. The SafeStart Forum is open to anyone, but please know that there are sessions dedicated specifically to SafeStart offerings. The Forum is also extended to SafeStart users, regardless of where they are in their journey with SafeStart's capabilities, including those who are just starting to engage with SafeLead and those who implemented SafeStart a while ago and could benefit from re-engaging.

When will the SafeStart Forum be held?

The Forum will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM, followed by a networking reception until 6:30 PM, and on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Special post-conference half-day sessions will take place on Thursday, October 30, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (extra registration required).

Early registration check-in will be available on Monday, October 27, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Regular check-in opens at 7:00 AM on Tuesday, October 28.

What are the registration fees for the SafeStart Forum?

The registration fees* are as follows:

* Hotel and travel are not included.
   The half-day post-conference session requires an additional registration; you can add on this session for $199.

Can I register for the post-conference session?

As long as there are open seats available, conference attendees can register for one of the half-day sessions. Please register early as seating is limited!

What are the accommodation and parking options for Forum attendees?

While you’re not required to stay at the Hyatt Regency to attend the Forum, attendees can take advantage of a special discounted room rate—available for a limited time before the booking cutoff. This rate and reservation details will be included with your Forum ticket confirmation.

Please note that the Hyatt Regency is located downtown and parking is limited. We have a $10 discount off the standard rate for valet parking at the Hyatt. Current standard rates are $25 for 0–8 hours and $46 for 8–24 hours. This includes in/out privileges.

There are also several public parking decks within a block or two that include:

  • 3DCD Parking 400 - 434 Race Street (immediately behind the hotel)
  • 8415/Washington Park - 521 Race Street (across the street and down 1/2 block)
  • Central Parking - 505 Vine Street
  • Fountain Square Parking - 416 Vine Street

Are all the sessions included in the registration fee for the Forum?

All regular SafeStart Forum sessions—including keynotes, panel discussions, and fireside chats—are included in the registration fee. Please note that two special post-conference half-day sessions are also available. These sessions are limited to 40 participants each and must be purchased during registration.

Will I receive confirmation of my SafeStart Forum registration?

Yes, a confirmation message will be sent to the email address you used to register. It will be sent from support@safestartforum.com, and contains your registration details as well as some helpful attendee information.

If you didn’t receive a confirmation email, be sure to check your spam folder. If you're on a corporate network, check with your network administrator to make sure that emails from @safestartforum.com and @safestart.com aren't being blocked.

What is the SafeStart Forum registration cancellation/refund/transfer policy?

Only cancellations made in writing 30 days before the event will be accepted, confirmed and credited. *Please note There will be a service charge of $100 per person.

Any registrations canceled with less than 30 days of notice will not be refunded.

Registrations can be transferred at any time—contact our event support for assistance.

If I can no longer attend the SafeStart Forum, can I transfer my registration to another person?

Yes! For registration transfers please contact our event support.

If I am a confirmed speaker or staff member, how do I register?

Speakers and staff have been pre-registered—you will receive an email containing their registration details. Once at the event, be sure to check in at the registration desk to get your name badge, etc. If you have any questions, please reach out to your client manager or our event support at forum@safestart.com.

Where will the on-site registration check-in counters be located and when will they be open?

Pre-registered attendees can follow the signage in the hotel lobby to the registration area. Check-in times are:

Will I receive my badge before the Forum?

No, you will receive your badge on site when you check in at the registration counter.

I lost my attendee badge. Can I get a replacement badge?

Absolutely! Just find one of our event staff and they will ensure you get a replacement badge.

Where will the sessions be held?

All sessions will be held in the event space of the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati. A floor plan will be available at the venue and a digital version will be included in the Forum app.

Will a companion app be available for the SafeStart Forum?

Yes, a handy companion app will be made available to attendees.

Is there a minimum age requirement to attend the SafeStart Forum?

Yes, all attendees must be 16 years or older to attend the Forum, and must be at least 21 years old to attend any social events. Proof of age may be requested.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for the Forum is business casual. At the end of October, Cincinnati typically experiences a drop in temperature as autumn transitions into winter. While a perfectly comfortable temperature in a conference room is desirable, it's not always guaranteed. We recommend dressing in layers.

Do I need to pre-register for my Forum sessions?

No, not for regular sessions. The agenda will detail which concurrent sessions are available and the time/location. Please attend the session that appeals to you the most—we’ve tried to map out the topics in a way to vary the topic categories throughout each time slot. Please note that there are two special post-conference half-day sessions available, limited to 40 seats per session, that must be purchased during registration. They will run concurrently, so registrants must choose one of the two options.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

There is a form to indicate food preferences and allergies in the registration process. Please email forum@safestart.com if you have any additional concerns about your dietary restrictions.

Will wi-fi be provided to conference attendees?

Yes! Free wi-fi is available to Forum attendees. Join the network with these credentials:

Will there be a social media presence for this event?

Pictures will be shared on SafeStart company social media pages on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. The hashtag for the event is #SSForum.

What accessibility features are available?

Does the SafeStart Forum offer continuing education units (CEUs)?

While the SafeStart Forum is not formally set up as a CEU provider (ten hours of participation in a relevant continuing education program), attendees can earn maintenance points by attending Forum sessions. You are responsible for keeping track of your activities and recertification points with supporting documentation. We recommend keeping a copy of the agenda, marked with the date and location of the Forum, along with the topic/number of hours you invested in the sessions.
