Leslie is a Certified Safety Professional with 35 years of experience in safety. She has worked in manufacturing, petrochemical, insurance, aviation, utilities, and public service and is the Instructional Director for the OSU OSHA Education Center. Leslie earned a Ph.D. in Technical Communication and Rhetoric, an MS in Engineering Technology Management, and a BS in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology. She was a founding trustee and director of the BCSP Foundation, named Safety Professional of the Year for the ASSE Oklahoma City Chapter (2016), and ASSE Region III Safety Professional of the Year for Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas (2018).
